Information/Security

Rafting is a kind of sports that offers natural risks; consequently, security is our greatest worry. The main objective of Aventur Turismo is to provide that all make the best on the tour, but at the same time accomplish it in safety, happy and in good health..

Aventur Turismo uses modern boats, introduced from abroad; they are manufactured out of high technology materials, safe, resistant, specifically projected for the practice of rafting. The security outfit used by the guides and the tourists is appropriate and approved for this kind of activity. We ask all our clients to be "inspectors" and to charge our Company the following items in order to have basic security going down the rapids in Brazil (issued by the IFR - International Federation for Rafting):

• Boats sized according to the water level of the river.

Degree of difficulty

The international classification of the rapids has 6 levels.
Class I : short waves.
Class II: slightly bigger waves, but still with wide and evident passages.
Class III: rapids with big, irregular waves requesting more elaborated maneuvers.
Class IV: long rapids with narrow, turbulent passages request careful maneuvers. The scout is generally needed and rescue might be complicated.
Class V: extremely difficult rapids. Certain crossings request complex maneuvers to enter and exit the rapid. A scout and a security plan at the river borders are highly recommended.
Class VI: almost unbridgeable, representing high risk. They are crossed by toll bridges. Highly specialized people already tried to face them.

Very important: an Enterprise shall be conscious about using it's boats according to the classification of the rivers in which it operates, especially about the size and capacity.

Going down the rapids right after floods when the rivers discharge is a lot more, request high attention; there might be tree stems and branches in the way. Therefore one shall check the dangerous spots before starting a course.
