The Hotel

Through the effort and the dedication of the owner Mr.Edson Medici and his family, the farm hotel Pontal was built 20 years ago following a persistent job in transforming the area of an unique beauty in an entertaining complex without interfering in the regions ecology.

Supporting the quality and the natural beauty of our touristical complex, this spot has been the scenery of various soap operas (Fera ferida, Quatro por quarto, Era uma vez, Uga-Uga, etc.), movies and TV specials (MTV, Esporte espetacular, Camera Manchete, Fantástico, Esportes náuticos, RJ-TV, etc.).


Farm hotel Pontal always believing in partnership, has been used as support by rafting Enterprises which work on the same ideal and security levels.

The Restaurant


Pontal Restaurant is located at the inner state of Rio de Janeiro, precisely at the district of Três Rios, meeting place of three rivers known as Paraiba do Sul, Piabanha and Paraibuna, a beautiful spot surrounded of peace and fun.

Many people come to us just for the trip, basically to enjoy a whole afternoon chatting at the riverside. Others come to have lunch, celebrate, or bring their friends in order to taste our famous "Surubim" (fish) baked on a roofing piece, the barbecue, the home made food* cooked in kaolin pans and on a firewood stove.
* The typical "mineira" home made food, from which are served about 30 different dishes - depends on certain precautions. Reservations are requested for a minimum amount of 30 people.
